Update

It has been a LONG time since my last post (I know no one probably reads it!), and I hope to be able to do this more often as I want to keep a log of Elijah's sweet little life. He is already 9 months old, so I am a little late, but I wanted to have somewhere to keep our sweet memories with him as he grows. I could write it out, but this seems easier and I will always know where to find it.

So as of lately Elijah has been army crawling everywhere, and starting to pull up on things. This is such a fun phase with him. He is getting into a lot of things, and starting to become more independent which is good - but teaching him what he can and can't get into seems to be a little more difficult. He is learning, and I know that with consistency and patience he can be independent but have boundaries! He has also been so smiley and giggly lately - I love that sweet baby belly laugh I hear multiple times a day. He mostly laughs at Starbuck - he finds him HILARIOUS. Such a sweet sweet boy we have been blessed with. God has been so good to us.

Elijah goes to see an Ear, Nose and Throat Dr. on July 13th to hopefully set up an appointment to get tubes. His poor little ears have been through enough and I would rather have tubes put in than continue to keep him on antibiotics. Not much else happening in our lives right now, we have a few weeks at home and then it is off to CIY we go. Hopefully I can handle a few days away from my baby boy.

I am hoping to post some pictures and video of Elijah soon.

New Happenings

So, about the whole not updating thing - I stink at this! So to update the few of you that might read this, I am not teaching. I am doing book keeping/accounting for a family here in Clinton that owns a few restaurants, and I really enjoy it. After just getting settled in there Adam and I found out we are going to have our first child - which is so exciting! We can't wait until September! I will try and keep updating at least will belly pictures (when the belly comes) and baby pictures. Here is Baby Brucker's 12 week sonogram and you can see he or she crawling in my belly - so cool.

So It Has Been Awhile...

Wow, 7 months... a long time since I have updated. I was really excited at the beginning of this blog thing, and then I am not sure what happened. Well I think I know - I started teaching in Decatur which was so stressful, and I was working from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed and had absolutely no desire to do anything else. I was worn out. This summer has been very refreshing and confusing all at the same time. Currently I am not sure if I am going back to teaching in Decatur or not. Adam and I will be deciding this by next week. I have been doing some accounting for a family in Clinton this summer and absolutely love it! It has been great having the summer "off" though to be able to do youth ministry with Adam. I have been on 2 trips with them, tonight I am having the girls sleep over - I just feel like I have been able to invest more of myself into his ministry this summer.

So without too much explanation, if I didn't go back to teaching I would stay working for the Martin's and (hopefully - my dream) doing photography on the side. I love everything about taking pictures. I am trying to convince Adam to let me invest a little more money in camera equipment and I think it would pay for itself! I have been doing some senior pictures, but really I want to get a good portfolio started so I can possibly get into weddings! This being said I need to have some people willing to let me take their pictures for free - so if you know anyone that needs engagement pictures, senior pictures, etc. have them call me! I would love to take their pictures.

So that is what is happening right now in the Brucker house, hopefully there will never be 7 months in between posts again.

2 years!

Today Adam and I have officially been married for 2 years! I can't believe it, it feels like just yesterday. 2 years and I love him more than ever, which means that it just gets better with time!! Being married to my best friend is so much fun! Today was also my first official day of break. I have enjoyed sleeping in and getting a few things done around the house things that will not happen quite as often when I start teaching. That is it for now, back to the laundry...

Let it snow, let it snow, let it SNOW!!

Well it wasn't supposed to start snowing until 9 am this morning but when we woke up we already had a lot of snow on the ground. So exciting - and it has been snowing all day so we are getting tons of snow. Tomorrow could be another snow day for church that is!

Today was the day. Today was the day I finally graduated from ISU - it is about time! I am done and start my job in January. I am excited to see how God is going to use me in Decatur. I am sure He has some big plans that I am not quite prepared for yet, but I will get there. It is so nice to have a little break and then be thrown into real life. Well I guess it isn't thrown, I kind of chose to do it, but it is exciting and scary all at the same time. After graduation today my family surprised me with a dinner a J Bucks which was delicious!! After our yummy dinner Adam and I spent a long time driving home, because we could only drive 30 mph because the roads were so bad. All in all it has been a great day!

Well it is time for some snuggling and a movie...

Starbuck

Here is our baby... an American Eskimo named Starbuck. Here are a few pictures of him growing over the 6 months we have had him!

One of his first pictures...

He loves to sleep on his back... too cute!

Slowly he is getting bigger...

This is him today at 25 lbs, with a treat hanging out of his mouth!

I guess I skipped a month or two in there, but you get the idea. He just have grown up so fast, but he is still our baby!
